GOMO Bicycle Power Assistance Kits are a simple & affordable way to motorise your bicycle. In all states in Australia with the exception of Queensland, no drivers licence or registration is required as the power output does not exceed 200 watts. The Queensland State Government recently introduced laws deeming all bicycles power assisted by internal combustion (petrol) engines, regardless of power output are no longer legal for use on public roads or bike trails.
There are no permanent modifications to the bicycle with initial fitting of the kit taking the average handy-person around an hour. All kits come fully assembled with everything you need including cable ties, a bottle of high quality oil, detailed fitting instructions and a user/owners manual.
GOMO Universal Kits are available with either a 2 stroke or 4 stroke engine and will bolt straight on to most full size (26” or 27” wheel) standard frame bicycles (will not fit rear suspension models).

The engine can be removed from the bicycle in around 1 minute to allow you to ride without the engine fitted or for easy lifting and transport on your car bike rack with the engine safely stowed in the car boot, caravan or motorhome. The engine can also easily be secured to the bicycle by threading a standard bike lock or chain through the mounting eye bolts.
Given the light weight, GOMO Universal Power Assistance Kits are popular with cyclists who like to ride without having the engine running to get some exercise but have the comfort of knowing some power assistance is close at hand for the hills or when tiredness sets in.
